I like the muscle-y arms too, and, umm... I thought he looked lovely in a dress, especially, you know, a clingy one.

 ::)

Gold star to whoever figures out what happened to his thumb.  I don't have those sorts of detective skills, so I rely on you folks to help me out...

 ;D

i dont know for sure what happened to his thumb, but it was probably sports related.. he could have got hurt playing basketballl or biking..

As for the clinging dress. yum.  I think it was nice of him to give us brokies especially jake lovers a lil something thrown our way about his unique fan base and how much making that movie meant to him.  Ya know why?  because it was the only time he was sincere looking straight into the camera as he said how much it meant to him.  How much WE mean to him...

No doubt about the fact that our Jakey is very athletic and participates in EVERYTHING  ;)  but another thought is this, it is well known that he and Peter are currently filming "Rendition" in LA with Reese Witherspoon.  Perhaps some stunt went awry and Jake got hurt that way.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Finding a Good Woman Is Job One

Thursday Jan 25, 2007 11:10am EST
By Tim Nudd

Now that big sister Maggie is a mom, Jake Gyllenhaal admits he's been thinking about when he might have kids himself. But first things first – he'll need to find the right woman.

"I'm definitely thinking about (children)," the 26-year-old actor tells GQ in its February issue. But the first responsibility for any man who wants to be a father, he says, is to choose wisely when it comes to a partner.

"Look," says Gyllenhaal, who is single, "the most important job for a man is to find the right woman. It's the best we can do. I thank my father for choosing my mother. She's wonderful in so many ways. And she chose well, too. I've noticed in life that the mother, first, has a primary job – and as a father, your job is to pick a caring, smart, mindful woman."

Women interested in the job should know, however, that the actor isn't just your stereotypical sensitive guy – he also has a dark side, according to Robert Downey Jr., who stars with Gyllenhaal in the upcoming David Fincher thriller Zodiac.

"You could say he's too sensitive for this industry," Downey Jr. tells GQ. "That's not even the right word. He's clear. But he's also a total badass. He and Steve McQueen would have gotten along amazingly. Guys who will do anything, anywhere."

Paying into that "badass" characterization, Gyllenhaal tells GQ that he loves cooking, going to the farmers' market and "sometimes what I actually love to do is go to a farm and get fresh milk or watch a pig get slaughtered."

Gyllenhaal's most high-profile relationship to date was his lengthy on-again, off-again relationship with Kirsten Dunst.

Asked about his close friendship with cycling star Lance Armstrong – and rumors that they are more than just pals, Gyllenhaal laughs it off as the downside of fame.

"That is quite a rumor," Jake says. "Yeah, people who are semi-well-known can't seem to hang out without the story being that (a) one is playing the other in a movie, or (b) they're having an affair."

Lucise - were you suggesting Eva Green as a partner for Jake? I know you are currently using her photos. Well I did a little research and I think she would be a great match for Jake.

She's 26 years old. Since her school years Eva Green has been a cosmopolitan multilingual and multicultural person. She developed a wide scope of interests beyond her acting profession and became an aspiring art connoisseur and an avid museum visitor. Her other activities outside of acting include playing and composing music, cooking at home, walking her terrier, and collecting art.

Bond girl Eva Green has been nominated for The Orange Rising Star Award at this year's BAFTAs.  The 26-year-old French actress is up for the accolade - which honors emerging young acting talent and is presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) - for her performance as alluring double agent Vesper Lynd in "Casino Royale."

Here she is with Orlando Bloom

Funny. I read somewhere Bernardo Bertolucci wanted Jake to play the role of the american boy in his movie Dreamers. But Jake declined due to the required nudity, and the role went to Michael Pitt instead. The leading lady is Eva Green. If Jake had done the movie, I'm sure they would've ended up together. They'd make a nice couple.
