Maybe that's Jake style. He's really into the "layered look." It looks overdone in this case. :-\ Mabye he's still in the Prince of Persia mode. Don't some Persians wrap themselves up to protect themselves from the sun and sand?

What a funny trend to be noticing. Maybe it's a form of "method acting" of some kind. Or, maybe the "friggin' cold" line was an inside joke in BBM about Jake and some kind of dislike of cool weather he may have. ;D

Reese Witherspoon Celebrates 33rd Birthday With Jake Gyllenhaal
MONDAY MARCH 23, 2009
Jake Gyllenhaal threw Reese Witherspoon a 33rd birthday bash at his Los Angeles home on Saturday.
Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard (and their daughter, Ramona) and Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan were among the guests, who enjoyed a DJ set that included Lada Gaga's "Just Dance" and Al Green's "Let's Stay Together."
Witherspoon spent her actual birthday, Sunday, at the Los Angeles premiere of her new animated flick, Monsters vs. Aliens.
"I'm looking forward to my birthday," she recently told reporters at a press conference for the film. "I think it is a great thing, to be able to be doing things with my kids and having them be proud of me. It's like, what's better than feeling you've accomplished things in life?"
At 33, she said her kids -- Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 -- finally think she's cool now that she has an animated film under her belt.
"They are rabid, and they wake up in the morning like, 'When can we see this movie? When is this movie going to come out?'" she told reporters. "My daughter goes, 'Just how many people can I bring to the screening? I invited the entire third grade!'"
Added Witherspoon, "I'm really enjoying this moment because usually my kids think I am a gigantic dork, and they are so in love with me right now. It's great."
