Jake Gyllenhaal - almost gets in fight at Coachella concert

Jake Gyallenhaal was with his girlfried, Reese Witherspoon, at the Coachella concert festival in Indio, CA this past weekend. While watching Jenny Lewis perform, Jake apparently couldn't stand to hear all the screaming around him (isn't that what concerts are for?).

At one point, Jake turned around to screaming fans and said, "I'm trying to listen!"

"This is a concert, not a movie," one guy screamed. After Jake called him some vile names, the guy started moving forward as if he was getting ready to hit Jake, but security immediately stepped in.

There's no doubt that Jake Gyallenhaal was acting out of line. However, it must be noted that the sound coming from the speakers was unusually low and people were having a hard time hearing the performance.

Hunh.  Totally strange story.  I don't picture Jake as the type of guy who would be likely to get into fights.


LOL!  I wonder if he yelled something about folks needing to shut their "slop-bucket mouths" so Jake could hear the concert.  Maybe a roundhouse kick would be coming next if things had escalated.

While I can't imagine Jake getting into a brawl over this... I can understand how irritating it can be to have loud or disruptive people around you at any kind of performance.  It can ruin the experience if your surrounded by obnoxious or loud people.  So, who knows... there's probably more to this story than is being reported.  Or, it could just be flat out incorrect.
