This one nearly made me fall off my chair while I was eating my supper.
My copy of the July 6 and 13 issue of The New Yorker arrived today. From it I learned that this very evening, July 1, and again tomorrow evening, July 2, Jake will be singing the role of Seymour in a concert performance of the musical Little Shop of Horrors at City Center in New York. :laugh:
The role of Audrey will be sung by its originator, Ellen Greene, who is now 64 years old. She says, "I will not hold Jake's beauty or height or age against him."

A local critic in this morning's newspaper gives a really, really good review of Southpaw, and a really, REALLY good review of Jake's performance therein.
Too bad I really, really can't abide boxing movies. :(
