Awww! She (he) was BEAUTIFUL Chrissi!!! I love black cats! :D
Kelda:
well Skimble brought us a present this morning.
I could hea rhim playing downstairs and then he was upstairs in our room. Jumped on our bed. then he jumped down again and was playing on the floor - with a little robin that he was gleefully parading around with in his mouth - not a mark on the thing but nearly dead... it only moved when he pawed at it.
I picked Skimble up and told Callum to remove the bird while I had hold of him. he was purr purr purring away - very happy fat cat this morning - but the poor wee birdie! And a robin too - soooo cute - if it had been a mongral bird I weouldn't have minded so much!

Awww. Poor little bird.
I'm sure my cat would do the exact same thing if I let him outside. But he's an indoor cat. He never goes outside. But last winter when I had my mouse problem, he would sometimes catch a mouse and then run upstairs to my bedroom and drop the mouse on my pillow. :P
And just like Skimble, he will be purring very loudly when he does it. He's very proud of himself.
We can't get angry though when our cats do things like this. Hunting is in their nature. But GAWD it's disgusting when it happens! :P
David In Indy:
Cody has been packing little creatures inside my house lately. He is most fascinated with insects... BIG insects. He will catch them live inside his mouth, and then once he's indoors he will walk up to me and "yawn", releasing the flying critters into the room. He loves cicadas, and he's probably packed 2 or 3 dozen of them into my house since summer started.
He puked up a dead fish on my bedspread a couple of months ago. I can't figure out how he got a hold of it though. There aren't any fish in my back yard. Someone must have thrown it over the fence.
