CellarDweller:
Blaze went to the vet not long ago for his check-up, nail clipping, and had all his fur trimmed.
It took most of the afternoon for the tranquilizer to wear off, he was rather wobbly. lol

Wow, they tranquilize Blaze? Maybe they should have done it to my Kenobi. I took both cats in for their yearly checkup back in June to get their shots and asked the vet to trim their claws while I was there.
Kabuki was very passive and everything went without issue. Kenobi fought the claw trimming like a demon. By the end of it, the vet was holding her upside down and gently shaking her to distract her, while she screamed and the vet assistant trimmed her claws.
By the time I had them both in the carrier, taking them home, Kenobi was incandescently enraged. She was doing the cat equivalent of turning red she was so angry. She was panting, her nose and the pads on her feet were bright red. I called the vet, alarmed, but they said she was just mad and if she didn't calm down in a few to call them back. She did, thankfully, but was grumpy the rest of the day.

Blaze is a large cat, and he hates the vet. They have to tranquilize him to groom him. LOL
My parents used to have "pet insurance" on him, and when the vet bill was submitted to them, they paid most of it, but when we got the statement back with what they covered, the tranquilizer was circled and the bill had this note on it:
"We don't cover behavioral problems."
