Heath Heath Heath
Mikaela:
Looking through these many pictures posted I'm struck by nothing as much as what a changeable, somehow mallable (sp?) face he had.
A couple of pictures including the one you posted above, Chrissi, makes me think he'd have done marvellously camping it up in drag. 8) Not that he couldn't have done just about everything marvellously. :-\
I've thrown myself at The Queen's Gambit and it's truly a fascinating book, one of those that challenges you with a protagonist that is multi-dimensional and has her likable as well as less likable sides, where nothing is purely black or white (except the chess pieces ::) ) - and the theme of the book for as far as I've read (I'm far from finishing It yet) seems strangely relevant to Heath's own life. So has that discussion thread been started yet?

The thought never crossed my mind, but reading it made me think of this pic:
I've always thought he looks like a woman in the above pic; the posture, the feminine sunglasses and the frills (quillings?) on the sleeve. I think I wouldn't have recognized him in this pic.
But then there's this one going with the first, and this smile I'd recognize anywhere. Same clothes (minus the frills which we don't see), but nothing feminine about Heath in this photo, despite the glasses.
*sigh* :(
It's not fair... :'(

I bit my tongue here (or my fingers) to keep from commenting. No, we haven't started discussions yet. Some people are still waiting for their book to arrive.
