I am so mesed up over the joker.I recognise the acting is superb in fact a real tour de force, but I can't seperate the joker having the last laugh,maybe, from Heath definitely not having the last laugh.
I think for me, I will always think BBM and Heath. That was his most accomplished, IMO role.It went counter to his personality, to be so contained.I am in awe always, at how massively he reined in his natural exuberance and constant movement and expressive hands, to play the buttoned up,totally still minimal expression Ennis.
That had to have been a far more difficult role for him.Yet he plays it to perfection. That is not to say, anything derogatory about TDK, he was brilliant in it.He is, just for me, defined as Ennis.

I loved all the scenes with the Joker when he was in police custody. Some brilliant writing for the Joker in a lot of those scenes I thought.
And, this is a great shot for the suspiciously Heath-apropos socks that the Joker wears.
