I remember seeing an interview as part of the press junket for the brothers Grimm. Matt Damon went up several points with me, he was so nice rescuing Heath, when he was obviously uncomfortable with the interviews. I thought, how nice is that, Matt was distinctly more at ease, and he used that to steer many an awqward moment away from Heath.
Not in an arrogant or codescending way, just wittily and with a certain panache.

A little ode to the BBM pie-eating scene. Just caught the end of the movie on tv, and this scene never fails to break my heart. Of course, the whole movie does, but he just seems so broken and defeated here with the "Good for you..." and ah, he just plays if off so perfectly, expressing so much while saying so little.
