I think that's a quintessential image (not sure if that's spelled right or the best word choice) - I listened to the short story on CD during one of my holiday drives... I was struck by more optimism in the prologue than I had remembered (the good memories of Jack that stoke the fire), but I missed knowing Ennis decided to go to Junior's wedding... otherwise, same gripping, heart twisting feelings as before. I haven't been able to watch the movie in a long time. I also have purchased I'm Not There, The Patriot, and The Dark Knight on DVD. And haven't watched any of them. Somehow not watching them on my DVD player helps me pretend a little.
