Absolutely loved Heath in this movie, I saw it twice, but I aint in no hurry to see it again..maybe coz of the way his character 'ended'..

--- Quote from: tamarack on August 20, 2006, 09:01:30 am ---I also found out this morning while checking on the tattoos that Heath is going to play Greg Noll, a surf "legend", in a movie to be made in connection with Stacey Peralta, one of the real Lords of Dogtown. I think this is just so cool! (Although Heath is built nothing like Greg Noll - he was a pretty big guy - so not sure how that is going to work out.) I love to watch Heath in Dogtown and this will be even better because it's surfing instead of skateboards. ;D ;D ;D

from what I can gather, Heath's being in this is still only a rumor. this is not even in pre-production yet, and NO ONE has actually signed on to do any of the parts---they are still dealing with scripting and financing--so I wouldn't count on this being true as of yet.
He did enjoy doing LOD-and this movie was brought up then, but nothing was actually done about it--and he may well already have commitments that might conflict with his doing this depending on when they actually put together a filming date/time. He still is committed to Dirt Music, and now Batman Dark Knight--and they will come first.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that it's only a rumor. :( I was pretty excited about the possibilities.
ranchgal:
Me too---I loved Stacy's other surf movie--Riding Giants---it is more a documentary type movie, with real interviews from Greg Noll and all the original BIG WAVE surfers back then, and NOW--it is a great visual and informational too to watch.
IF this does come together---It will be a great show!! We can always hope!!
