Good the read, Jeff!
I told people on my 42nd Birthday (which is actually an anniversary, I only had one human birthday) that it was the 21st Anniversay of my 21st Birthday. And, that day on November 4, 1984 was my first Birthday celebration after I had left the homosexual closet behind back in Oklahoma. And, to most of those back in Oklahoma at the time, I was not gay.
In regard to where you are located, Jeff. When I was living in N. Hollywood, my friend, Joe, was an actor and a professional dance instructor. One time he told me that he was going that week to hold a dance workshop in Philadelphia.
I said, "Oh, You are going to city of brotherly love."
Joe responded with, "Do you know any brothers there?"
Joe was a special person in my life; but, he was just a real friend, just like he promised, when the crisis came. That's OT for this thread of discussion.

Belated happy birthday, Jeff. I wasn't able to check in yesterday (work :( ) so I didn't see it was your birthday. Today is my daughter's birthday, but I'm working and she's in London. Feels very strange not to see her on her birthday.
I've started reading your stories. "Some Sweet Life" is my favourite so far. I love the way it builds on Ennis' dreams in the original, and your dialogue and characterisation are excellent. Possibly one reasson I've not been tempted to write Brokeback fiction is that I know I'd make a hash of the dialogue. Ennis and Jack would come out sounding Home Counties. :o :D
