I was feelin’ the blues
I was watching the news
When this fella came on the TV
He said I’m tellin’ you
That science has proven
That heartaches are healed by the sea
That got me goin’
Without even knowin’
I packed right up and drove down
Now I’m on a roll
And I swear to my soul
Tonight I’m gonna paint this town
So bring me two pina coladas
One for each hand
Let’s set sail with Captain Morgan
And never leave dry land
Troubles I forgot ‘em
I buried ‘em in the sand
So bring me two pina coladas
She said good-bye to her good timin’ man. (Garth Brooks)
I voted for margaritas--even tho I rarely imbibe potent potables. A good margarita with salt and lime does me good. This is why I have a soft place for them: About 9 years ago, I got some kind of lower back injury---don't know how or why, but it was relentlessly painful. The dr. gave me muscle relaxers and I took those, but after those, the sprain or whatever it was, remained. One night I went out to eat -- I was not the driver -- and I ordered a giant margarita. And then another. I was feeling no pain when we left and after I came out from under the M-effect, my back was totally healed. That's the truth. I don't know why or how, but it worked.
So---I drink mostly water or sweet tea in the summer, but I have a fondness for a well-made margarita!
