--- Quote from: Shasta542 on September 28, 2007, 10:53:04 pm ---Well, I was wondering about the origin of the name, Tru. I live on the New Madrid fault line and I have felt (and heard) the ground shaking several times in the past few years! :o
So--is there a story behind the name?

Well you call can call me anything, I answer to most.
Back about 1993 I was going to a lot of Pow Wows and really getting into native culture and diecided I would like to have an native name, and the proper was if for the chief of your tribe to give you one, so I would just have to make do with what came my way. One day at lunch this woman was laughing about something on TV, I think it was a comedy skit featuring a character called Shakes The Clown, but I thought she said Shakes the Ground, and I thought "yah, that's it'.
So you live on the New Madrid fault line, man I see an special on TV once about that, the 1811 earth quake and all the infrastructure and pipelines that cross it now, dang, it is going to be a mess next time.

I like "ShakestheGround" much better than Shakes the Clown. Shakes the Clown sounds like on of those evil clowns ;D
