Yorkies catching mice? I don't know about that Shasta. If those Yorkies are anything like my Golden Retriever, they will just lay there and act "entertained". Cody will perk up and watch, but he doesn't pursue.
He just lays there as his master stands horrified atop the dining room table. >:(
Now my cat Oreo, he pursues but he doesn't catch. He just makes a lot of noise. :laugh:

Yorkies were bred just for that reason -- they guarded factories in Yorkshire against rodent infestation. It's supposed to be in their instincts!
My first darling Yorkie would alert at first sniff. She would not be put off. She relentlessly pursued all mice until she caught them. She'd grab the mouse, shake it a couple of times, and then lay it down -- every time. She was a little mouse assassin!! But these two -- yeah. They are like you said. No help whatsoever!
