--- Quote from: CellarDweller on July 13, 2015, 10:17:44 am ---Short work week for me, as I have Friday off.  My friend's daughter (Kayla) is having a Sweet 16 party Thursday night at a hall, and it won't be over until 11PM.   I'm not even gonna try to go to bed late, and then get up early for work, so I'm taking the day off.

Thursday was my friends' (Mike & Cor) daughter's Sweet Sixteen party.  I knew it would be a late party, and that I'd be staying until the end (after all, I was at the hospital the day she (Kayla) was born) so I figured, just use a vacation day.

They rented out a local hall, and threw a very nice, "40s Hollywood" themed party.

Here is the guest of honor, hamming it up for the camera.

The best part of the evening?

The DJ was mixing all types of music, from 40s to today, and he started to play Glenn Miller's "In The Mood".  I watched all these young kids trying to dance to it, and then turned to my right, and there was my mom and dad, showing them how it's done.

Hiya BetterMost friends!

I hate Monday cat is back!  LOL   You hate Monday even more after getting an extra day off.

I need to plan some vacation time as well, otherwise I'll go nuts trying to use it during the end of the year.

I'm thinking a week in August may not be a bad thing!  :)

How is everyone?

Hello Bettermost Friends!

'Lil Poundcake is flipping us all off today.

Actually, she's flipping off my coworker, who was off yesterday, and called today to say she wasn't coming in today either.

Hopefully, today will be slow, like yesterday, and I won't have to worry about it too much.  This does remind me that I need to schedule some vacation time, especially since I have 3 weeks to use, and if I don't take them by the end of the year, I lose them.

Come to Sweden?  :)  :-*
