Hiya BetterMost friends!

How is everyone this week?

This weekend is Memorial Day, the "unofficial" beginning of summer.

I don't have any major plans, but for the actual day, I will be at a parade.  Turns out my uncle is going to be a grand marshal in one town's parade, so that's where we'll be.

:)

Greetings from wet and rainy NJ.   Rain is supposed to stop this afternoon, and then the sun comes out for  the evening.  Haven't seen the extended forecast, so I'm not sure what the weekend will bring.

I hope that Monday is nice for the parade, I have an uncle who will be grand marshal of one of the local parades, so we're going to see him.

That's cool! How did your uncle get to be grand marshal for the parade?

I don't know why....this is all I could find online.

In lighter news, Councilman Michael McGlynn encouraged residents to attend the Memorial Day Parade on May 30 in Caldwell, in which the Fairfield Fire Department will be marching. Roseland, Caldwell-West Caldwell, North Caldwell and Essex Fells join forces for the parade.

In addition, 82-year-old Raymond J DiGuilio of Fairfield, a veteran of the Korean War, will be the Grand Marshall for the parade. He also announced that on June 18, the "Battle of the Badges" baseball game will take place, with police and fire department teams playing each other.
