I'm glad to hear that because I may be having that done myself later this summer. I'm reluctant, but this isn't really the place to go into that.

I had it done a few years ago. I had a high deductible insurance plan and I had maxed it out (surgery for minor skin cancers). Toward the end of the year I remembered a doctor telling me some years earlier that I was developing cataracts. So I realized I could get that surgery done for free! It was close enough to the end of the year — and you have to do each eye separately and first do a week or two of special drops. I got the second eye done on New Year’s Eve.

Let me know when you get closer — I do have some advice.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!

Just got back from the dentist appointment.  It was the quickest one I've ever had.   Went right in, had my Novocain, some quick drilling and filling, and I was done in about 15 minutes.

Cheek is still feeling numb, they said that would last for about two hours.

My original plan was to work in the morning, and then be off in the afternoon, but since I had the time, I decided to just take the full day off.  It felt good to sleep in.  ;D

This coming weekend is Father's Day, I'll be going over to mom and dad's place for lunch.  Mom is getting the food catered from the local shop right, with a bunch of different platters.

I didn't see mom yesterday, she was out with friends playing BINGO, but I did speak with her later on the phone.  She says the procedure went really well, quick and simple.  One thing she noticed (and she was told about) was that colors would appear more vibrant.

I don't know what prep she had to do before hand (if any) but she told me that after the procedure she was given drops she needs to put into her eyes, and by the time they're used up, she'll be going for her second eye, and then she has to start with the drops again.

Thank you both. I'll be posting some random thoughts on my own blog.
