Gotta love those typos!  I may have told this story before, but I have a friend who at the time worked for a non-profit organization.  the big project at the time was regarding a project to help the homeless population in their area.  They sent out an email that stated something like "needing a count for all the homeless people in the area" and she sent it out.  About an hour later she went back to the sent email for some reason, and realized (to her horror) that when she sent the email, she accidentally left the "o" out of "count".

You've also got to be very careful of text being automatically filled in. Sometimes when I'm writing a text, it will suggest a word. If it's the correct word--the word that I need--I'm inclined to tap on it, but sometimes even when it's the correct word, it fills in an incorrect word in the text.  :-\

Yes, during my corporate career I can't remember how many times an engineer left the "l" out of public.

A friend of mine left the L out of public out in a newspaper article decades ago and is still embarrassed about it.

I'm not sure if this is apocryphal, but years ago I read about a headline on a story about a governor signing a bunch of new bills into law that said "Governor's pen is busy" and left out the space between pen and is.

I think my iPhone autocorrect tends to err on the side of wholesomeness. So if I write "shut" it doesn't automatically change it to "shit," even if I actually meant to write "shit."
