Free is good! I hadn't been to a casino in a while, the slot machines are very different now.
When I went years ago, it was just one line of play, straight across the middle. Now, you can win across, diagonally, it was a little confusing at times!

Yeah, I haven't seen that, either.
Years ago I went to a casino in Mississippi (when you could have casinos on bodies of water, so this was by the ocean) and forgot my purse in the car. I had a quarter in my pocket, so I put that in a slot machine and got it up to $60. I kept playing and lost a little, but walked out with $43 -- not bad for a quarter.
I figured I would never top that, so I haven't been in a casino since. Even in Las Vegas -- I walked through the casino part to get to the room, but didn't gamble.

Hiya BetterMost friends!!!!
I spent some time today getting chores done.
I got to the post office, mailed the rent, got all my holiday stamps, gassed up the car, got a few items from the grocery that I needed, and most importantly, picked up an order of non-perishable "Thanksgiving staples" to donate to a food kitchen.
I got the following items,
3 boxes of instant mac & cheese
3 boxes of instant mashed potatoes
3 cans of French cut green beans
3 cans of fried onions (to mix with the green beans for a casserole)
3 cans of turkey gravy
3 cans of whole kernel corn
3 cans of creamed corn
3 boxes of corn muffin mix
3 8X8 dispoable pans (when used with the three items above, to make a corn casserole)
3 cans cranberry sauce
3 boxes of stuffing/dressing
3 cans of canned yams
With these items, I am hoping that three families will be able to have some Thanksgiving dishes on their tables.
Sason:
In Murrica you can buy fried onions in cans???

Ha-ha! I see the french fried onions are in a plastic can. So-called "tin cans" actually have no tin anymore. The tin was a plating on steel cans so that the food wouldn't react with the steel and cause rust. Tin was leaching into the food though. Now, steel cans are lined with plastic but this can also leach Bisphenol-A (BPA) into the food, which can harm health. Companies are experimenting with linings that are more inert, but progress on this has slowed during the Trump years, and the FDA doesn't regulate can mnufaturers.
