Well, lemme tell you what happened today on the way to work......
I was driving through one of the towns, and they were repainting their crosswalks. they were halfway done, and the painters had put up the orange cones.
The guy in front of me (not on a cell phone or anything) wasn't paying attention and plowed right through the freshly painted crosswalk. He ran over the cones, and trapped a bunch of them under his car. He had so many of them, I couldn't tell how man.
He kept driving the way I was going, so I followed him to see how long before he pulled over to get them out from his car. One fell out, then another, then he started to pull over, and a third fell out. He saw that one in his rear view mirror, and pulled back into traffic, thinking that was the only one, and kept going.
then another came out from the car. I could see there was a 5th cone still under it. I just started laughing. I pulled up next to him, and contemplated telling him about the last cone, but then the light changed, and he pulled away from me, and turned into another direction than I was going.
I can't imaging being so completely oblivious that you don't know you have 5 traffic cones under your car.
