OMG, some banks still have Christmas Clubs?!?!?!  :o

I haven't heard anyone mention them in, like, 25 years. My mother always used to have one of those, and then I did, too. Do they still have the little coupon books, where you tear out a coupon every time you make a deposit?  :D

Spoil them.....???........did you have grandparents Chucky, and remember how everything out of thier pantry always tastes better than the pantry at home.

My eight year old grandson, walks in our house.....opens up the pantry door, and says....."now what will i have".......when he goes home, I tell his mum and dad that he really likes something but when they buy it, it never gets eaten and they end up throwing it out.

We had Christmas Club accounts at the Credit Union where I worked. Most people who had their salary go into their account, would authorise a certain amount go directly into their Christmas Account. Sometimes as little as $10 a week, or more.

Another great thing we had at our Credit Union, when we brought up a customers account, the customers details would also show up, and if it was the customers birthday, the date of birth on the screen would flash at us, and we would get a little beep. We would then wish them a happy birthday, and the surprised and happy thank you, from the customer was always a lovely reward. They would immediately have a smile on their face.

Yuppers!

However, I've opened one with the bank I work with now, and they have a book like a regular passbook savings account.  You put in as much as you want, as often as you want.  When the check gets mailed, the book goes back to zero.
