Well I just got back from an NYC Brokie gathering, and I'm feeling so happy.
Great times with great people, and it hit me that it was at this time (or about, actually, closer to October) in 2005 that I first saw the trailer for Brokeback Mountain, and was blown away, and had made up my mind to see this movie, 2 months before it hit the theaters.
I had NO IDEA how it would hit me, or the traveling I would do because of it.
I've met sooooo many wonderful people from all over the world because of Brokeback, and I've come home from each gathering (and it didn't matter if it was 5 or 105 attendees) feeling happy, and a better person.
I was so blessed to see this movie, and to find the Dave Cullen Forum, and the BetterMost forum, and to meet all the great people here.
You all have laughed with me, cried with me, given me your ears, your shoulders, and space in your hearts. I got a new Auntie (KillersMom) and 3 Big Brothers (Rob_in_Puyallup, ShakesTheGround, LoneLeeB3), become a harem member (PaintedShoes ;) ) and a Puto (McNell1120) and have a huge group of friends who are great people!

Today's poem was written about 3 years ago, when I first put up a personal ad online. lmao It was an experience.

So I sign onto the 'net, for something to do
I log into a chat, to see who is who
I create a profile, I put up my pic
I started to chat, I met people, really quick
In under 5 minutes, was messaged by 3 guys
and the first question they asked was, "what is your size?"
That was their first question, right after the "hi"
wanting to know what was, between the thighs
No "what's your name", or "how are you", nothing else to say
Just wanted to know, if I was up for a quick lay
I wanted to say, "can't you show some class?
do you know that, you made yourself look like an ass?"
Did you look at my pic, and think you'd push your luck
he looks like a guy, who'd give me a quick fuck
I really do hope, I don't come off like a prude
but I just have to say, I find your approach rude
"Hey, how's it goin'?, My name is Nick,

No "do you want to meet?", "Do you like to dance?"

Thank you, big bro! I feel very "out of date" a lot of the times.
I have lunch with 3 to 5 straight women every day, and the topic of sex comes up often (shocker ::) ) and they often tell me that I'm never going to meet anyone because of my views on sex.
I get told that my views are "old fashioned" and that men my age don't want to get into hand holding and kissing and cuddling, that's high school stuff. If I'm not willing to give out sex as soon as possible, that I will get left behind.
