I plan to use the money to pay for my car insurance for the year. ;D Just in case my job decides I'm not "needed".
I haven't been led to believe that, however, I don't want to take chances. It would be one less bill during the year I would have to pay.

But I think it's very practical to put your money into insurance now, so you don't have to deal with that bill later in the year.

Very mature of you! And good forward thinking. Then when insurance comes due and you are still working---you'll have extra $$ anyway! ;)
I just would love to buy clothes and go to movies and eat out and buy gifts with mine.
But my better judgment says to pay extra on my bills.
