Sorry for the late posting here, been a bit busy!

Getting closer to the weekend.
Well today will be......awkward.
When the layoffs took place here, people were given two options, to leave that day, or stay on for a few more weeks to finish their current projects.
Today will be their last day, so those that opted to stay on board, we're taking out to lunch today to say good-bye.
One thing.......there is one guy here I'll call "Steve". Steve has always been a bit....off center shall we say?
It's often been said that if anyone here were to snap and bring a gun to work, it would be Steve.
Well, Steve is one of the members who was laid off, and opted to stay until today. People have joked that today would be the day.

So if you don't see me around after lunch, you know what happened.

I would not have been surprised if someone had "gone postal" at my job yesterday.
In the construction of the new wing of our building, they have reached the stage of installing--and testing--the fire alarm system. It sounds like a very large swarm of very angry locusts. And it goes on ... and on ... and on ... and on. It was driving us all around the bend yesterday.
