CellarDweller:
I was supposed to go out to meet friends for dancing and a show by Laura Enea and The Rios Sisters. (both dance acts that were hits in the clubs in the early 90s)
I got out of the shower, and slipped on the wet floor. I didn't fall, but I pulled something in the heel of my foot. It's not swollen, or discolored, but when I walk, pain shoots up the back of my heel and ankle.
So it looks like a quiet evening at home.

Meryl:
Poor Chuck! No dancing for you. :'(
Alternate ice and heat (ten minutes at a time) should help, along with ibuprofen. Hope the heel feels better tomorrow! :-*
Sason:
Oh no. Bad luck, Chuckie. Hope it gets better real soon. :-*
Kelda:
hope it feels better today chuck.

Be careful, Chucky. When you used the words "pain shoots up", it reminded me of when I got (and of course, still have) sciatica. Starts out in the foot, either from an injury or from doing something your body wasn't used to doing. I got it from living in Belfast and my daily exercise was walking up and down rather steep hills where my boyfriend lived. All my life before that, I only walked on flat ground. All of a sudden, one day, I'm standing at the counter cutting up veggies for dinner and a lightning bolt shoots up from my left foot to my left hip to my spine. Even after a great deal of physical therapy over there and back here, I doubt that I'll ever be able to have any sensation at all in my pinky toe on my left foot and in my entire left calf. You could stick a needle in there and I wouldn't notice.
I'm not sure how exactly you landed. But please monitor yourself carefully for any numbness or continued shooting pain, and see a doctor as soon as possible if you notice it.
Your pole-dancing days are far from over, I'm sure, but be careful, my friend.
