That being said......do I have the right to go to work today and tell them I'm leaving early today as I worked for them all last night?

I wouldn't if I valued my job, but I guess it would depend on whether you're paid by the hour and have met your 40 for the week, or paid by an annual salary where the hours put in don't matter at all. I'd stick it out for the day, but try to find something you enjoy doing rather than something tedious or difficult.

Not one of the national holidays, just some religious holiday. I was at work, and everyone else at work left due to the holiday. I was told to stay and cover for everyone, since I don't go to church or practice my religion.

Oh my. I guess that qualifies for a nightmare.

You bet!
(If I were to make the decision. Your boss might differ, though )

It must have been the night for bad dreams. I have recently renovated the whole kitchen in my new house. My sister planned it but had to go home (2000 miles away) before the work was done. i dreamt she had come back to see it and pulled on a cupboard and all the tiles started filling off. What was worse, the original owner was standing there laughing at my distress.

Sitting here in this little livingroom/den, hearing the birds tweet and looking put at the blue kies and trees is just what the doctor ordered.

Hi, Chuck! Catching up on your blog.
That sounds like a great place to spend a weekend, especially hearing the birds tweet and looking at the trees and the blue skies.
Glad you had a relaxing time.
