Re: the carrot tops.. you got some really fun answers to that on facebook!  :P

Jeff Wrangler:
Something nice always happens to me when I go to the gym.  :)

Maybe I'll run into an old friend I haven't seen in a long while, or the friend from church who has been waging an on-again off-again battle with leukemia for a year and a half (it always makes me happy to see him feeling well enough to work out), or maybe it's just getting to see some of the incredibly beautiful young personal trainers. But whatever it is, something nice always happens to make me feel good about having gone to the gym.  :)

The exercise can't hurt, either.  ;D

Shakesthecoffecan:
I need to exercize.

On the other hand conspicious consumption can be fun. Last Friday my gaydar went off at the Little Caesars' and this nice young man carried my pizzas out to the car for me. Made my moment.

 :D  I'm glad for you.

If a nice young man offered to carry anything anywhere for me, it would just make me feel old.  :-\

I saw her last year in Berkeley; great show with amazing telegraphic connection with the audience.

Dollywood is on the agenda in May (I admit it!).

I hope you have a great time in my home state, HK.  Although I've never been to Dollywood myself, I've explored those mountains, and it's a beautiful part of our country.  You couldn't have my mother and not be a Dolly fan.  I think she's doing her best work now.  I especially liked Travelin' Thru, which she wrote and performed for Transamerica, a worthy film, IMO.
