Nat, I am going to have to remember to book you as my travel advisor the next time I plan a trip to NYC!
Thanks for the advice Karen. I remember Park Central and from what I remember it was very nice. It does depend on when you go. The deal I found for around Christmas is a great price. That has to do with the time of the year I guess and that I had stayed there before. They actually sent me the special rates. It was the Westin which is quite nice. Now the hotel next door to it could be a different story. It is called the Hotel Carter and I believe it might be way past run down I actually walked into the lobby of it when I was there and it had some kind of weird disco lights going. You could tell that at one time in history it was nice since it had those big fancy chandiliers in it. Anyway, I believe the sign said $99 a night. It also had quite an odor I read later in the newspaper that a body wrapped in plastic had been found under a bed at a Times Square hotel and guess where it was. The Hotel Carter So that is one where you do not get the clean bed or clean anything
When I went to NYC in '03 i stayed at park central. I loved it. It was in a great location and was a fine hotel.
Tell you what, somebody oughta start a thread or a forum just for travel tips!
