The other week when experiencing some sort of attraction to the Gomer Pyle character, I watched a slew of youtube videos and came across the intro to the show:

Reading the comments I came across this one from a poster id'd as Sierria64:

"The guy standing next to gomer , the black guy is my dad. sgt lamar william he died in 1971 in vietmnam." (her speling)

I remember that black guy from when I was a kid, I was conscious of his being there, integration was still a new thing at the time. It is strange in this day and time some one steps out and identifies him.

Hey, what about blue and green and purple and orange people?

Where are they supposed to buy furniture?? ?? 

       Are they serious??  Is there still such a place in this country?  Where it matters what
