When is it too early to put Holiday lights/decorations up?

CellarDweller:
I just finished decorating the apartment.

Not posting the pics of the end table or Rudolph plushies, as they didn't change.  Just go a page back and you'll see them.

The kitchen countertop is a little different.

CellarDweller:

The coffee table is slightly different too, the bottle and jar are new.

Jeff Wrangler:
Earlier this week I started to put lights on the pine tree on the end of the driveway at the house. I stopped because I couldn't remember how I hooked up the extension cords last year. I also couldn't remember if it was safe to plug a two-pronged extension cord into the "female" end of a three-pronged extension cord, so I took off the lights I had put on the tree.

I've been assured that it's safe to plug the extension cords together that way, so yesterday I started putting lights on the tree again. I had to stop because it was getting late. I hope to finish the job today, a little later after (I hope) it warms up some, as it has gotten very cold here.

Then comes setting the timer the lights are attached to. Timers defeat me. Last year my dad had to set it after I put the lights on the tree. Maybe I could find a YouTube video.  :-\

Jeff Wrangler:
Is this a trend? Seems like I'm seeing more and more Christmas trees decorated with lights--hundreds of lights--but with only a few ornaments.  ???

CellarDweller:
Epiphany is Tuesday, the day that I usually wait for to start taking down Christmas stuff, but I decided that this weekend was a good weekend to start.

So on Friday I packed up the stuff in the bathroom and kitchen, as well as the stuff that was on the coffee table in the living room.

Today was the remaining table top stuff, the Rudolph plushies, ornaments, and tree.

I decided to keep the lights up in the windows, until Tuesday, which is Epiphany.
