When is it too late to still have Holiday decorations up?

serious crayons:
The city I live in, a suburb but right across the street from Minneapolis, decorated the trees lining the median of the street that goes to my apartment building with beautiful lights of unexpected colors -- violet, turquoise, peach, etc. -- that are wrapped tightly around the trunk and up into the branches rather than dangling from branch to branch.

They're still up as of this evening, and I for one still love looking at them. My suburb has been known as a place Jewish people have lived: the Cohen Bros. (their movie "A Serious Man" was filmed here), Al Franken, Thomas Freedman and a few other famous Jewish people came from here, etc. So maybe we can thank that for the community having different rules for lights? They went up during the holiday season, but they could go through the winter as far as I'm concerned. Heck, year around!

The neighbor still has the snowman on her front porch, but it's not illuminated.

CellarDweller:
I would be so tempted to leave notes on their door.   "Christmas and Winter are over!"

Jeff Wrangler:
At a house a few doors down the block there is a tree in the front yard still wrapped in twinkling red lights.

CellarDweller:
and I already have my Easter stuff up.  LOL

I figured I wouldn't be in the mood to put it up after the trip,  so I put it up before I left.
