OMG!  I'm here to report on the craziest thunderstorms here in the Pittsburgh region last night.  It poured rain for several hours and the lightning was amazing!  Many streets and underpasses flooded.  And, the interior staircase of my 9 story apartment building flooded from the roof down... so, somewhat like a waterfall.  It's a soaking mess in the stairwell and in some of the public hallways.  *Knock on wood* my apartment itself is fine.  Although, it looks areas of the ceiling in the public hall right outside my apartment door have pretty bad water damage.

We lost power in my building around 9:30 pm last night and it's still out this morning.  So, I went to bed super early last night.  Which, actually, was probably pretty good for me.  I'm betting that I'll have to throw away almost everything in my refrigerator.  What a pain!

Whoa, friend, that's a GDBOAUS!  I hope everything gets put to rights soon.  We're getting soaked here in NY, but no thunderstorms as yet.  :P

We had one heck of a storm last night. Even with the curtains all pulled shut the lightning was still lighting up the rooms. It is our time of year for them so it is not unexpected. Have to get off computer now before son gets home.

Thanks, Kelda! I hadn't even noticed myself until I saw your post! LOL.

Congrats Shasta, I've really enjoyed your many posts!

Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear about the rain. In the Rocky Mountains, we are enjoying a couple of days of fine weather after two solid weeks of daily rain, with tornadoes, wind, hail, sleet and assorted precip mixed in.
