No posts in here for four days? :o
I have to whine a bit in here today. I'm frustrated. For the first time in I don't know how many years, I was to see live music today. Two local rock bands play at the stadium of the next village.
This afternoon, we had a severe thunderstorm. I hardly believed how high the water stood in my yard (about 6, maybe 7 cm).
Sooo
- the stadium is totally drowned, I guess it's in the state of a swamp (but with jeans and old sneakers, that wouldn't have hindered me)
- the thunderstorm killed our satellite dish, no TV for us
- one of the girls, who wanted to go with us tonight, has her cellar flooded
I was sitting there, at the appointed time, completely ready to go and dressed to kill (nah, that last one was a joke ;D), and I waited. And waited and waited. Well, they are never on time, so I waited a little longer. Finally I called my friend - nobody at home. Then my cellphone got a text message that we aren't going tonight (and about the cellar). The text was sent almost two hours earlier, but my phone had no net contact were I had put it ::).
So much for me seeing some good old rock music live :P.

Damn, Chrissi, that's a bummer! Amazing how events can combine to make things as annoying as possible. Who knows, if you'd gone to the concert, they may have been flooded out, too, or had troubles with the electricity. :P Hope you get to hear some live music soon! 8)

Ain't that the truth?

You can say that twice and mean it. Last Halloween, Kerstin and I also wanted to see live music. But when we got there and saw the audience, we didn't even go in. Only teenagers! They were all between 15 and 20, there were even some youngsters around 12, 13. My daughter would have fitted into the crowd, but not me. I felt sooo old then .
At least I don't have to feel too old today (and we don't have a cellar, otherwise I'm sure it would have been flooded, too), so there's a bright side to everything ;D.
CellarDweller:
Chrissi, sorry to hear that!
Was one of the performers Nena?
;)
