Yes, Met = mead. I just assumed that it's the same in English because it's a name, and didn't even bother to check with my dictionary. Turns out I was wrong ::).
"A (as in one) castle" is a statement that made me smile (and my hubby when I told him). Make that more like ten. If you go a bit farther and say reachable within a good hour (give or take a little), it's between thirty or forty.
If we have nothing else, but we have castles and vineyards en masse :).
