Hearing Ennis and Jack speaking Swedish would be a traumatizing experience for sure. :)
I don´t think I´ve ever watched the movie with Swedish subtitles either, so it´ll be fun to see how they have translated it.

I came home tonight, turned on the telly, flipped channels, got as far as STV1 and a certain two someones in the process of herding their sheep up the mountain for the first time, - and got no further tonight. I didn't know it was on. But now I know what Brokeback subtitles in Swedish look like. Some of the words, like the one they used for "queer" and the "stemming the rose" translation I would *so* not have understood at all out of context.
*sigh* Movie still as amazing as ever!!
I also admit I do worry a little bit that I still can have this one film grip me as intently as ever after nearly four years.
Four years, damn! :P
ETA: That translator was kind of lazy. He/she didn't even *try* to get the condiments/ketchup exchange across. Just cut it down to "Where is Alma?" "She's in the ketchup aisle."

The subtexts weren't very good. They used words that Ennis would never use. Some stuff was outright funny.
I'm thinking about getting a t-shirt that says "Jack Snusk!" for sure :laugh:
yes it really is amazing, ain't it? I don't know how many times I've seen it by now, but I was still glued to the television. This time around I was struck by how friggin beautiful Heath was, and also by how well-placed the music is throughout the movie.
I feel all "brokiefied" at the moment! ;D
Me and Sonja talked for a long while after the movie, sharing our impressions. We both agree that our feeling after having seen the movie, keeps changing over time. It´s an interesting journey.
