But, on the bright side--really, really big mosquitoes this summer! 8)

I heard the weather was really bad up there in New England. They were talking about it on CNN today, Paul. I was thinking about you and Lynne and the others up there. :(

Thanks for thinking of us, David. My back yard is soggy, but not overrun. This much rain is sure to find any weak spots--the roofer is coming on Friday. :P
How are you doing, Lynne?
Front-Ranger:
Oh, boy. Can't wait to see those mosquitos. I'll have to send Aguirre on ahead of me to poison the little pests.
I went to Germany once during the Easter season. I was in Mosel on the Sunday after Easter wanting to taste some of their legendary wines. It was nearly an impossible mission, because the whole town was celebrating the First Communion of all the 10-year-olds. There was a lovely parade where the children walked down the main street to the church, followed by all those who had taken First Communion 40 years previously. They were all dressed in white and carried flowers. Later all the restaurants were packed with large families celebrating. We did finally get a lady to open up her tasting room and we enjoyed tasting the wines very much. We stayed that night in an 11th century castle.
In that last paragraph, I mentioned about 10 things that you would never be able to do in most of the cities or towns of North America!!

Maybe there is an opening there for some smart entrepreneur? Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show was immensely popular in Europe in the late 19th century; I think even Queen Victoria went to see it. If somebody could round up a crew of handsome young cowboys like the guys on the PBR circuit, I bet that dearth of rodeos could be changed. :)
