Yesterday's lovely fall day turned into one of those evenings that we seem to get only in Ocotober. About half an hour after sunset, I stood on my balcony and let my gaze travel from directly overhead down to the western horizon. The sky was clear, so you got a full spectrum of color, from a deep, dark blue overhead, through a lighter blue, a pale green, a yellow, and an orange to a deep, dark red on the horizon.
