Penthesilea:
Love the pics of your home town, Mon. :) Beautiful indeed. Is it at a lake, or is this actually the sea?

One more Scotland pic before logging off for the time being. I won't have internet at the next cottage (yes, I'm already packing to leave tomorrow morning. Too bad, I'd like to stay a few days more, it's so cute and so much to do in the area. But I guess I'll love the next one, too.

Anyway, we took on a big hike yesterday. 14km, 430m climb, 5 hours (including breaks).
Now if I can do the same in 2000m altitude, I'm prepared for Moose Mountain. :)

Anyway, the trail lead mostly across sheep pastures (!).
As we saw thistles, I explained to my kids that they are the national flower of Scotland. Without missing a beat, my youngest returned: "Yes, and the national shit of Scotland is sheep shit."

I almost fell off the mountain laughing! ;D

Attached a pic of the scenery on our hike.

Penthesilea:
PS: The dark stuff growing on the ground in the above pic is Heath. :)

Hoppas du har en bra tid på din resa och ta massor av bilder. Underbar liten stad du har där. Jag hoppas att besöka ert land en dag, men tills dess kommer att få nöja sig med repriser av Wallander på BBC America.

Wow, I didn't know you were fluent (well, almost  ;)) in Swedish, Truman!   ;D
