Awright, youse guys. Watch it. I can insult the place 'cause I live here.

Sorta like one brutha using the "N"-word to another brutha. ...  ;)

There is that other line from 1776: Benjamin Franklin (Howard DaSilva) to John Adams (William Daniels): "Not everybody is from Boston, John."  ;D

Awright, we Boston snobs know who we are.

It's nothing personal; I'm sure Philadelphia is "foul, fetid, fuming, foggy, filthy" lovely.
Just quoting your movie.  ;D

Don't forget that other criticism: "Too many flies!"  ;D

The Philadelphia Story: My POV is that there are two essential Katharine Hepburn movies, and two quintessential Katharine Hepburn roles. One is Tracy Lord in The Philadelphia Story and the other is Rose Sayre in The African Queen. No disrespect intended to the films she made with Spencer Tracy (I happen to really enjoy Desk Set), but if I could only ever see two Katharine Hepburn movies, they would be The Philadelphia Story and The African Queen.

From The Philadephia Story:

C.K. Dexter Haven (Cary Grant): Liz, can you use a typewriter?

Liz Embry (Ruth Hussey): No, thanks, I've got one at home.

Jeff, I love Desk Set.  Someone who could witty repartee me like that, the way Hepburn and Tracy do in that movie, would have me at Hello (except they'd have to say the witty things first, and THEN say hello). :)

One of my sister's quirks is she loves to walk around the house yelling, drunk-Jimmy-Stewart-style, "C.K. DEXTER HAAA-VEN!!!  OH, C.K. DEXTER HAAAAA-VENNNN!!!!"  She seems to do it several times a year, and seems to enjoy herself hugely every time.

Don't forget "Summertime"! Another excellent Katharine Hepburn movie.  :D
