does his name begin with "N"?  Is he studying criminal justice?  inquiring minds need to know?

and just how young is "young" ? old enough to know better?

ROFLOL!      OMG!  no,  not Nicholas!  I wish!    I'm assuming he spent his NYs eve with his girlfriend.     Although he seldom talks about her.    He did take notice once when this small built (and very cute) young guy who works with us came thru.   "Who is that?" he said.     It struck me odd as he has never asked about anyother person at work.   Then when we were watching a training video at work he commented about how the Officer in the video had what appeared to be a 25 inch waistline!       I'm not sure if he is interested in small built guys or if he is just envious of their size.  Nick is in shape, but has a soft waistline and would probably look even better if he dropped 10-15 pounds.   I never see him eating much, just snacking on veg or fruit.  I am begining to think he is dieting.      Then again, he wants to be a Police Officer, so maybe he is just trying to get into shape for the training.  Doesn't matter to me.  He looks fine just the way he is!

Of course you know,  i'll be devasted later this month when they are changing our schedules around.    Chances are we'll get separated.

Oh, my guest?    He is 35 thank you very much.   No, not a kid although he looks 25.   But I am 40, so that makes him a "young man" in comparison!   LOL.

Weather Update.

It is 8:30 AM (EST) here.  About 41*F  and sunny.    But with 20 mph gusts it feels more like 32*F.

It rained ALL day yesterday.   I had a fire going in the fireplace all day too.

It is real windy this morning.  It was howling like Wyoming!    A front must have moved through.   It looks like it will be a nice day today.  Maybe I'll get the car washed.

MaineWriter:
We had wind advisories here too. It is sunny and bright right now but yesterday it rained all day, then got cold at night, so now we have "corduroy" roads. I never heard that expression til I moved to Maine, but then again, we never had a corduroy road in NY!

David, you want to come wash my car too?

L

Meryl:
David, I'm glad to hear you're not robbing the cradle!  Also glad you had some good company for New Year's.  ;D

It's windy in Washington right now.  I'm watching the last part of Gerald Ford's funeral, and everyone outside is freezing their tushes off.  It was a lovely service with some nice speeches.  Had to shed a tear watching Betty--so frail, brave and sad.  :(

Yesterday's rain and fog in NY turned out to be really pretty.  The pond outside the Boathouse in the park looked like a beautiful black and white picture--swans in the mist, stark tree limbs, shadows of tall buildings just emerging from the fog.  It was like being inside a postcard.  8)
