David:
38*F and cloudy here too.

Oh Leslie,  I'm flying down to Naples, Florida on Monday for a few days.   Would you mind posting the Top Ten list on Tuesday and Wednesday?

Not at all, my dear, although I don't do it as nice as you with the colors and so on...

Thanks Darlin.    My plane doesn't leave until 11:25 AM on Monday,  So I'll be able to post Mondays list before I leave.  I'll be back Wednesday night.   Just a quick trip down to get away from the snow.    ::)    Well, that was the plan!    LOL.

It is more to just visit a buddy and relax by the pool.   Who knows with my new schedule coming up when i'll be able to get away again.

Last year I went in early December.   It was great being down there eating lunch dockside knowing it there was a blizzard up here in CT!    LOL.   No such luck this year.     Then again,  no worry of my driveway being blocked by snow either.

I noted the other day in the 2001 edition of The World Almanac that E. Annie Proulx (as she was listed in that source) was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on August 22, 1935. David, knowing that you hail from Connecticut (and indeed, still reside there), can you tell us anything about Norwich? Or anyone else who might care to chime in?

Thanks in advance!

Scott

Annie spoke about her background both times I have heard her speak. She is of French Canadian ancestry. Her father was in the textile business and her family moved around quite a bit when she was young.
