David:
Ok,   I'm kinda depressed about my job today.     :-\

Things are just not going right.    I keep getting scheduled to work with the wrong teams.   We are supposed to work in groups with our supervisors.  This way our Supervisors can evaluate us properly, thus we get performance based raises.   I have mentioned this to my Supervisor a few times and she agrees.  But she doesn't make the schedules and even worse, she is leaving to go work for Customs soon, so I don't think she is too concerned in following thru.

Plus when you speak up about wanting to be moved to the scheduling officer, they just put you in a worse spot as punishment thinking you are complaining.  So I haven't made any progress there either.    So now I doubt that I'll get a proper evaluation.

I just found out recently that after 6 months employment, we get a retention bonus.    Yesterday I opened my employee mailbox and found my bonus notification.   It was for a different employee of the same name who no longer works there.   Different Social Security number, different date of birth.    So I turned that paper into the office.  They didn't know what to do with it.   Wonderful!   I'll never see that money.   >:(

Every place I get assigned lately seems to be understaffed and we end up working frustrated.    Then as I left last night I saw they posted todays assignment locations.   Again I am being sent to one of the heaviest work areas again.   And worst of all, they've been separating me from my buddy Nick.    :(

Ironically, at the locations I do get sent to, those Supervisors all love me.   I get compliments all the time.  Unfortunately because they are not my Supervisor, their opinions don't count to my performance based evaluation.

So it is very frustration knowing you do well pleasing the wrong people all the time.  And the people who should be correcting this are too busy or say it is out of their control.   ARG!

It is probably good that I'm not working with Nick everyday.   Last night I was standing behind him at the end of shift debrief and it was all I could do not to reach out and stroke the back of his neck.      :-X

MaineWriter:
Ah, the red tape challenges of the bureaucracy! Chin up, David...I just think you are at that 6 month slump. Things will get better...I feel confident of that.

Today's weather report: 17 degrees and grey sky. Looks like we may have some snow in our very near future. At least it has warmed up a bit.

Meryl:
Keep on fighting the good fight, David.  The good thing is that when you finally do get evaluated, that evaluation will be great.  :-*
