Reading about that fiasco at JFK, I am so glad my trip to Utah got cancelled!
5 degrees here, and windy. The last few days have really reminded me what winter is, and I am sick of it. Ugh.

Cold, damp and overcast this morning in the SW of England... Ugh... >:(
But on the upside it's Friday (yeehaw!!) and I'm going to the theatre this evening with a dear friend I haven't seen for a long time. Yay!! :D
David:
There was a story elsewhere about the stranded NY fliers. It said that JetBlue had filled some planes and had them taxi out and wait for take off. Then some more JetBlue planes landed and pulled into those gates. The storm prevent the waiting planes from taking off, then it quickly changed to ICE and the planes and tractor-pushers froze up and couldn't push the now empty planes away from the gates! They eventually sent buses out to the stranded planes to get everyone off. But not after almost 11 hours from the time the people boarded. The Airport officials kept telling the planes to wait as they were trying to clear the runways and de-icing planes.
I guess what we need to do is determine at what point is enough enough? Should there be a set amount of time that passengers can/should be allowed to wait?
Personally, I get antsy just waiting 10 minutes on the runway waiting to take off! LOL.
David:
Saturday and time for the FULL 1000+ list!

Fer anyone readin taday's "Full 1 000 + post" list, ya might notice that Azt75(Amanda) has reached a post count number that ain't a number.
Well if'n you were wonderin what the hay that's all about here're a few quotes of a discussion pertainin ta that there subject"
--- Quote from: Phillip on February 05, 2007, 11:32:27 am ---It's programmer slang for "elite" spelled as LEET or L33T and was stuffed in the software.

and, the person who brought it ta our attention:
--- Quote from: injest on February 05, 2007, 10:22:33 am ---I had always heard that leet was a 'signature' put in by the software designer...it is the equivalent to 1337 turned upside down...1337 LEET...when the member reaches number 1337.
Just a little joke by the guy that wrote the software...like the old "Kilroy was Here" tags back in WW2
--- End quote ---
Just thought it was an appropriate place and time ta share this little tidbit of an infermation
