Good morning...

38 degrees in Maine, rainy and dreary. Mud season is upon us.

Two weeks ago today I was leaving for Brussels! Oh my the time has gone so fast....

David:
"Mud Season"    another great Maine colloquialism!

I mean, we all can figure out that melting snow in the spring brings mud, but it is only in Maine that I've heard it refered to a "Mud Season".    LOL.

Yeah, it is getting pretty warm here.  Almost 70 they say today.  But that is about 20 degrees about the normal average this time of year in CT.   The melting snow is just about gone.   Just the deep stuff that was along the roads and driveways/sidewalks remains.      Now we just need to get our streets swept.  The drivers floormat in my car resembles a beach with all the sand tracked inside.

And just like Maine, we don't dare drive on any grass.  The perma-frost is melting and you'd sink all the way to Newark if you tried to drive across it.

Front-Ranger:
We have mud season in the Rocky Mountains too! It's when we get a little respite from the tourists. But it hasn't started yet. It's spring break and the mountains are packed with people!!
