what the terrorists would have won if you were wearing a hat?? The passengers would have got out of their cars...looked at you and refused to fly?? What? See, stupid stuff like that is why people get so upset! There is no reason to be so ....like you said...Napoleonic...(if that is the word) makes no difference if you had a HAT on in the sun...(in fact it would have been healthier..what about sunstroke?)
