I've heard of these. But one doesn't get visual privacy in them?

It looks like there is a little shade to pull down. See the knob?
I think I would get claustrophobic, myself.

Good eye! Maybe that's what's happening in the darkened one on the bottom. But, if you look at the edge of that one, it seems like I can still see the pattern on the interior paneling.
It's no bigger than a pup tent in there. Wonder if people are allowed to bring their cats? :)

London Gatwick is one of them. The other one is in London, too. I read it in the German Wikipedia.
But now I read that they are bigger than the Jananese ones. They are all en suite.
Not acutal capsules, more like super-mini hotel rooms without window to the outside (but they do have windows to the floor).
Heres an article I found:
http://news.opodo.co.uk/articles/2007-06-26/18191877-Japanese-capsule.php
And these pics are from the yotel site:
www.yotel.com
But I did find something more like the Japanese capsules when I was looking for a cheap room in London last year. If I find it again, I'll post it here.

Well I have never given a weather report here before.... Today is sunny and about seventy at noon, supposed to reach 89 deg F
later today and tomorrow...No humidity.
My family are all headed for the river and camping overnight, until tomorrow night.
