I'm looking out into my garden and I can see daffodils (early blooming variety). We haven't had any snow this winter...

I was actually thinking about last year at this time when we had a really, really cold snap. So I went back in this thread and found my posts:
March 6 - 0 degrees
March 7 - -12 degrees (yes, MINUS 12)
March 8 - 0 degrees
March 9 - -3.1 degrees
It warmed up on March 10. I sure hope we don't go through that again this year!

I just received this in my email:
Today, US Airways announced a change to our baggage policy. Beginning May 5, 2008, we’ll charge $25 for a second checked bag. The new fee applies to travel on or after May 5 for tickets purchased on or after February 26, 2008.
We’re making these changes to offset record fuel prices and rising airline related expenses. We simply must make changes to the way we do business to provide all of you with the high level of service that you’ve come to expect from US Airways. Also, we’re doing all we can to keep fares low. With this policy change, we’re able to give you the choice to avoid the fee and pack fewer items. With fewer bags to process, we save both money and fuel and can pass that savings on to you.
Paris Hilton won't be happy!
Good God. And we thought our friends overpacked. Paris Hilton doesn't fool around, it seems, when she's in her namesake city. TMZ counted 15 bags curbside at Paris Charles de Gaulle International, which is, give or take, 14 more than we usually carry.
Well, I suppose she can afford the to pay the extra $350!

isn't this the same airline that used to be known as Alleghenny Airlines? I remember flying on Allenghenny back in the 1970's and everyone called it "Agony Airlines".
