It is Memorial Day here in the US. Traditionally, towns have a parade and families have cookouts. We have a beautiful sunny morning with a temperature of 70 degrees right now. Lovely!

A town parade? A cookout? You know what that reminds me of right?  :)  ;)

Hahahaha, yes!

We (as in Americans) tend to do the same thing on July 4th, too. Actually, though, here in Westbrook we don't have a July 4th parade. There will be one today. Today's parade is the "serious" parade, with veterans marching. Of course, they have the bands and fire trucks, as usual. The next week is "Westbrook Together Days" and that is the "fun" parade, with all the little kids (boy scouts, girl scouts), antique cars--as well as the bands and fire trucks. And that's it for parades in Westbrook--nothing on July 4th. I guess they figure two in a row is enough for our little city!

Morning all,

48 degrees this morning and a beautiful sunny day...not a cloud in the sky. I have already been out and communed with nature. Perfect!

Chrissi is here, safe and sound. Yesterday, driving back from the airport, she got to experience torrential downpours complete with flash flooding and lightning. Fun...LOL. But the weather stopped quickly enough and today looks like a flawless day for sightseeing and touring.
