Front-Ranger:
How fun, Meryl! Leslie, that meal sounds a little revolting! I'm glad you didn't take pictures!

As predicted, Denver broke its all-time record for the most days in a row over 90 degrees. It's been a challenge keeping Rodney's and my lawns alive. Thank goodness Front Ranger Jr. is home this summer with her gardening skills. We've been eating lovely home-grown tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, arugula and herbs for a couple of weeks.

I hope the balloon is still there when I go to NY in October! But somehow I doubt it. They should adopt that attraction in other places...like for instance Ten Sleep, Wyoming! Wouldn't it be nice to view Brokenback from a balloon??

That sounds like so much fun Meryl! I'd definately pay $25 to do it! :D  I wish they would do something like that around here. Maybe they do. I'll have to check in to it and find out.

That reminds me of the Civil War. They would send people up in balloons which were anchored to the ground in order to spy on each other. Going up was safe enough, and once they reached full altitude they were out of firing range. But coming back down was dangerous, because the enemy was now fully aware of the balloon and would shoot at it as it descended back to earth. :(

Thanks for sharing your photos with us Meryl!! :D

Well, Lee, this balloon company is for hire.  Know any billionaire Brokies?  ;D
